With the onset of the cold weather, Camp FREE-Gan Israel is actively preparing for yet another wonderful winter experience. The Camp FREE Winter Experience is geared specifically for children of Russian-Jewish families who do not benefit from a formal Jewish education throughout the year.
Located in the Catskil] Mountains, Upstate New York, Camp FREE-Gan Israel offers these children a variety of winter sports, including skiing, snow tubing, ice-skating and much more, all within a traditional Jewish atmosphere.
But the Camp FREE Winter Experience doesn’t stop there. Its devoted counselors and staff maintain close contact with all the campers throughout the year. Their friendship continues at weekly Shabbato-weekend retreats and frequent camp reunions, enabling the participants to solidify the lessons they learned in camp.
